Privacy policy
What RowLift does
RowLift is a browser extension that reads tables on the web page you are looking at and converts them into spreadsheet files (XLSX, CSV, Markdown, JSON) or copies them to your clipboard. All of that happens inside your browser, on your computer.
Page content: processed locally, never transmitted
When you click the RowLift icon, the extension reads the tables on the current page so it can show them to you and export them. That content is used only to build the file you asked for. It is not sent to us, stored by us, or shared with anyone. RowLift has no server that receives page data, and it makes no analytics or tracking requests.
Exported files are saved by your browser to your own downloads folder. Clipboard copies go to your own clipboard.
What we collect
Nothing, for free users. RowLift does not collect your browsing history, the pages you visit, the tables you export, or any personal information. It does not require an account.
Licence status, for Pro users. If you start a free trial or buy RowLift Pro, payment and licensing are handled by ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com), which uses Stripe for card processing. At that point ExtensionPay stores the email address you give it, your payment status, and a random licence key that the extension uses to check whether Pro is active. We (RowLift) can see your email address and payment status in ExtensionPay's dashboard so that we can support you and process refunds. We never see your card details. ExtensionPay's own privacy policy applies to that data: extensionpay.com/privacy.
The licence check is the only network request RowLift ever makes, and it only starts after you open the trial or payment page. It sends your licence key to ExtensionPay and receives back whether you have paid; no page content is included.
Where your settings live
Your clean-up preferences (for example, whether to convert “1,420” to a number) are stored using Chrome's extension storage, which may sync between your own Chrome profiles if you have Chrome sync turned on. The extension's licence status is cached on your device. Tables you are stitching across pages or batching across tabs are held in session storage on your device and cleared when you close the browser.
Permissions and why
- activeTab: lets RowLift read the current page only when you click its icon. It cannot see other tabs or run in the background.
- scripting: injects the table-detection code into that page, on your click.
- storage: saves your preferences and licence status.
RowLift requests no host permissions, so it has no standing access to any website.
This website
rowlift.app is a static site hosted on Vercel. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Vercel's servers keep standard request logs (IP address, requested page, time) for a short period for security and operations, under Vercel's privacy policy. If you email us, we keep the email to reply to you.
Children
RowLift is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Because we hold no data about free users, there is nothing to access or delete. Pro users can ask us to delete the email and licence record ExtensionPay holds for them, or contact ExtensionPay directly. Email the address below; we respond within 14 days.

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top and describe the change here. Version history: 3 September 2026, first version.
